I. Strategic Planning
- Develop global business strategies for the company’s innovative drug products, with a particular focus on entering the European and American markets and establishing long-term collaboration plans.
- Lead market access strategies in compliance with U.S. FDA regulations, driving the clinical development, registration, and commercialization of products abroad.
II. Project Execution
- Lead License-out/License-in projects in the U.S. and European markets, managing the entire process from target screening, due diligence, and deal negotiation to agreement finalization.
- Build partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, KOLs, and regulatory agencies in the U.S. and Europe to foster joint development, sales authorization, and other collaborations.
- Success Case: You must have led at least 1-2 innovative drug export projects to the European or U.S. markets.
III. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, regulatory, and medical teams to assess the global competitiveness of products and develop differentiated business development strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze commercial potential and pricing strategies for the U.S. market.
Other Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on trends in the innovative drug sector (e.g., non-oncology, respiratory, cardiovascular) in the U.S. and Europe, identifying potential collaboration opportunities.
- Lead the establishment of departmental structures and system development.
- Handle other key tasks as assigned by senior leadership.
- Master’s degree or higher in biopharmaceuticals, pharmacy, business, or related fields. An MBA is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of study abroad experience in Europe or the U.S. is a plus.
- Over 8 years of business development experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with at least 3 years focused on the European and U.S. markets. Strong familiarity with FDA regulations and pathways, such as 505(b)(2) and 505(j), is essential.
- Success Case: Must have independently led an innovative drug export project to the European or U.S. markets (e.g., License-out deals, product commercialization in the U.S., or collaborative development with multinational pharma companies).
- Strong expertise in deal structuring (including upfront payments, milestones, and royalties) and a solid background in negotiation and contract risk management.
- Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently with European and U.S. partners.
- Data-driven, with the ability to conduct independent market sizing and develop financial models.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken), with strong negotiation skills in English.
